About us

HardHats is a recruiting and matching platform connecting construction workers, professionals and crews to contractors to combat downtime & labor shortages with available jobs. We match workers to contractors while pre-interviewing each applicant and sourcing them on multiple platforms at a fair cost without the frustrating recruiting contracts and percentage cuts. In addition we filter your job through social media to gain more exposure through our large network of contractors, construction workers and professionals. We work alongside human resource teams and focus on ramping up your applicant pool. We also work perfectly with smaller contractors without HR support and assist in their hiring and interviewing process. We make working with us simple, communicative and stress free. At HardHats we know how difficult it is to find talent in the construction industry but we can relieve your team by partnering for 2 weeks at one flat price.

HardHats is based out of the sunny state of Phoenix, Arizona, and was founded in 2019. The Founder Kassidy Hazelton has 6 years of experience in construction management, industry statistics, and employment innovation. Her family has been in the construction industry for 70 years working for many construction companies in and out of Arizona. Ironically her birthday is on Labor Day and feels her innovation is fascinating considering the irony behind her ideas. Kassidy has dedicated her time and efforts to the industry and finding solutions to the labor shortage for some time. She mainly focuses on the pains points in the industry unlike her competitors and that’s what differentiates us in this market.

The founder has accomplished her SBC with the Arizona Department of Transportation, the Venture Devil program with ASU at Skysong the school for entrepreneurship and innovation. She has participated in the accelerator program with Coplex and launched her company with the firm. She is a member at the National Association Women in Construction (NAWIC) Chapter #98. She has spoken at the Industrious Women's Summit at the Better Business Bureau in Arizona and the Skilled Trades Expo. She was a speaker at the ASBA Construction + Expo discussing the labor shortage topics and with her efforts we formed partnerships with Southern Arizona Construction Career Days, Heavy Equipment Colleges of America, Empire Cat, Adot, CEMEX, Offerpad, Viasun Corporation and more. She has also been featured as a top rising startup on AZ Big Media, Business of Shopping, Ventures Media, Urban Matter, Beeso, and Welp Magazine.

We’re furthering our ideas and product in the market for contractors to share crews to other contractors in need of labor and skilled talent. The industry operates in a unique fashion which requires a unique solution. We see the opportunity to innovate the workforce with technology that’s made easy for everyone in the industry.

The founder discovered that with the labor shortage, we may never see the relief the industry desires; but what she does see is superintendents, foremen, operators, and qualified laborers willing and ready to work when they are not making money. HardHats solves the problem for many dedicated construction professionals and workers so they are not left with the unknown for providing for their family and loved ones. HardHats will increase employee retention and avoid employers being highly affected with the turn-around, resulting in employees losing benefits and often seeking new employment. But we can help!

We have observed that with current labor shortages and construction project growth, that current channels and groups providing these staffing and recruiting services are not meeting demand, quality expectations, and are not time-efficient, causing missed project deadlines and crews with positions to fill.
